Cluster Board Meeting Minutes - Email notice – 10/14/2004

 

1.     Board meeting minutes from Sept. 29th: The board met on Sept. 29th with some great news. Attached are the details, but here is a tempting highlight:

  • Finances are looking good, good enough that we’ll be able to asphalt our entire entry and parking area early in the Spring.  Based on savings and our special quarterly assessment, we can fund repaving 2 years ahead of schedule. Also, the special assessment will end sooner than expected:  End 2006 rather than 2009. More details to follow.

 

2.     Our fall cluster cleanup is scheduled for 9am-noon/1PM Saturday October 23rd (raindate Sunday)– sorry for the delayed notice.  This will be a fun event with the following projects scheduled. Pick your favorite or add one you’d like to accomplish, and we’ll meet and greet on that day:

Projects:

    • Build and install a new swing by Moorings Drive (brain and braun required)
    • Lay stonework pathway to swingset from Moorings (still a concept)
    • Move a few trees and bushes
    • Plant some fantastic trees and label them
    • Plant shrubs/plants around back and in center
    • Prune, prune, prune
    • Plant daffodils and bulbs aplenty
    • Reset placement of parking bumpers that have fallen again.
    • Code concrete parking stops with house numbers (where desired)
    • Replace illegible old no-parking signs.
    • Pull up some English Ivy, remove poison ivy where possible (some brave soul)
    • Repaint fire code yellow where needed
    • Manage debris, either post by AAA pickup areas or load/drive to dumpsite
    • Miscellaneous chores

 

3.     Gutter cleaning time again. We have a cluster-group discount rate from Maple Leaf to clear and repair our gutters, and keeps those water-bugs and cockroaches at bay. Interior houses are $69, end units are $89 (normally $99 and $120). They also blow away the squirrel guest rooms (leaf pools in the valley between houses). They typically come out and clean our gutters the first week in December (pending clear weather) after all the leaves and debris have fallen. Let me know if you’d like your name/house added to the list again.

 

4.     Holiday party tentatively scheduled for early Sunday evening December 19th. Details to follow.
