Brookshire Cluster Board Meeting Minutes

Here are the meeting minutes from the Board Meeting held on September 2, 2003.  The purpose of the meeting is to review items discussed in the General Assembly meeting in February as well as any other Cluster issues. Financials and Budget

Most people are paying their dues on time which helps our Treasurer Leann Yoder focus her attention on more important aspects of our financial planning.  Here are some other items:

§         We are doing very well in keeping our actual income very close to our budget.

§         We will have a Tree Service professional here during Cluster Cleanup to help assess which trees need pruning.  We have not yet spent any of our allotted tree service budget this year and should have plenty to take care of any problem trees.

§         We will need to assess walkways and parking lot asphalt for future repair work, but that will not happen this year.

2003 Events

Fall Cluster Cleanup has been scheduled for Saturday, October 18 from 9:00 – 12:00.  Rain date will be Sunday, October 19, 11:00 – 2:00.  If you have any suggestions of things you’d like to see done, please send them to John Fay or Deirdre Begley.  John will publish a list of things to be done several days before the cleanup; some things already on the list include:

-          remove dead trees

-          remove sandbox behind 1528-1538

-          replace railroad ties around the parking log

-          move/re-align concrete parking markers

 

Our annual Yard Sale was postponed due to inclement weather and will now be held on Saturday, October 4  8:00 – 12:00.  Rain date will be Sunday, October 5.

-          The Cluster Picnic was a big success – watch for pictures soon

-          Budget was approved to purchase new seats and chains for the swingset in the childrens’ play area by Moorings Drive
